Client work
Still freelancing — that hasn't changed and it isn't going to. I'm Top Rated on Upwork and I take work through Fiverr and LinkedIn too, though most of it now arrives by referral from people I've already delivered for.
I mention this because a lot of people teaching freelancing stopped doing it years ago. Everything I teach comes from work I'm still doing.
Starting coaching
This is the new thing. I've opened 1-on-1 coaching and I'm taking a small number of people at a time so I can do every call myself.
Being straight about where I am with it: I'm new to coaching. The people I've taught so far are close to me, and they've done well. I don't have a wall of testimonials from strangers yet — I'm at the very beginning of building that, which is exactly why the first students get more of my attention than anyone later will.
Building this site
Most of my spare hours have gone into this website. It now has a free tracker, 105 tools, three full guides, templates you can copy and a student dashboard — all free apart from the coaching.
I'd rather give away everything I know and charge only for my actual time than sell a course of things you could have read for nothing.
The community
The 180 Circle is open and free. It's new and quiet right now. If you're reading this early, you're early — and that's the best time to join a room, not the worst.
What I'm working on next
- Getting real results from real students I can publish honestly
- More videos — the channel is the thing I most consistently under-invest in
- Writing the remaining guides listed on the guides page
