I'm strict on this one, and I'll tell you why honestly: the programme moves fast and involves a lot of reading, writing and client communication in English. Below intermediate, people struggle and I'd be taking your money knowing that.

Not negotiable, and not snobbery. You cannot build an Upwork profile, write proposals, or deliver client work properly from a phone. It doesn't need to be new or fast — it needs to exist and to be yours to use daily.

You'll be on calls with me and eventually on calls with clients. My internet in Kot Addu died every time it rained for two years, so I genuinely understand — but you need something workable.

Be honest, not optimistic. I would rather you tell me 10 real hours than 40 imaginary ones. People who overestimate here are the ones who quit in week three feeling like failures.

This programme involves sending pitches into silence for weeks before anything comes back. No shortcut exists. Which of these is actually true for you?
